PfMP Eligibility Requirements | Portfolio Management Professional | PMI-PfMP Handbook
To be eligible for the PfMP certification, you must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements.
• If you have a secondary diploma (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent), you will need a minimum of 96 months (8 years) of professional business experience and a minimum of 84 months (7 years) of unique non-overlapping professional portfolio management experience.
• If you have a Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree, global equivalent or higher degree), you will need a minimum of 96 months (8 years) of professional business experience and a minimum of 48 months (4 years) of unique non-overlapping professional portfolio management experience.
• If you have a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree from a GAC accredited program (bachelor’s or master’s degree or global equivalent), you will need a minimum of 96 months (8 years) of professional business experience and a minimum of 36 months (3 years) of unique non-overlapping professional portfolio management experience.
