PMI-PBA Eligibility Requirements | PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Handbook

To be eligible for the PMI-PBA certification, you must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements.

• If you have a Secondary degree (High school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent), you need 35 contact hours earned in the topic of business analysis practices and 60 months working as a practitioner of business analysis. This experience must have been earned in the last 8 years.

• If you have a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree (or global equivalent), you need 35 contact hours earned in the topic of business analysis practices and 36 months working as a practitioner of business analysis. This experience must have been earned in the last 8 years.

• If you have a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree from a GAC accredited program (bachelor’s or master’s degree or global equivalent), you need 35 contact hours of formal education and Minimum two years/24 months unique non overlapping professional business analysis experience.
